We were only recently able to access AJA from our cable television provider and Ive enjoyed watching Al Jazerra America. Their journalists are well known and respected, Ive used their coverage as a balance to other 24 hour news channels. Ive also learned from other important stories reported on subjects not being covered on other sites. Please do not abandon America! Your voice is important to increasing our tolerance and understanding of others. This strengthens brotherhood and peace.

Such a great news news organization, such great debates on your channel. Free from the sensationalism that usually plagues American media. Love your articles, read them everyday, they provide new insights on America and the world. I wouldnt have known the rights abuses in Sri Lanka without you. Ill miss you.

Well organized fast app. The first two articles I read addressed important topics with independent insights and substantial facts I hadnt read elsewhere. Ive appreciated the in/depth coverage AJ has brought to compelling topics ignored by US news channels. Hopefully, AJ will continue to support this app when the broadcast station is, sadly, shuttered.

Update: gave this another chance now that the cable network is gone, only to discover that I STILL cannot watch a livestream on this app or the website. What was all that about focusing on a web based platform? How about walking the code on your apps and site back to editions that allowed for livestreaming in the USA? This is why no one here pays attention to you guys. How can we when we have no access? Al Jazeera was once a huge part of my daily information feed. Now Buzzfeed is actually more useful. Very sad. ------- How tacky are you? Not only do you cut off the livestream of the video in the usual English app, then you want to know my ZIP to find the channel that plays it? Heres a news tip: I dont have cable. I have a streaming device. I will not get cable just to watch your news network. P.S. The logo for this is on a black background and a bit too reminiscent of the IS flag imo for our visual recognition. You need a new marketing director, a new UX director and you should probably just stop allowing downloads of your terrible apps in the USA. I, for one, am disgusted by the fact that these work so poorly. Happy to remove them.

Al Jazeera offers the most thoughtful, and intelligent, balanced TV news available today. It is very unfortunate that its name is a millstone around its neck. Its probably too late for suggestions about how it might survive but here are a few: encourage enthusiastic users like me to let others know how much they appreciate Al Jazera; I dont know what kind of demographic studies you do about your viewership, but the program is obviously addressed to better educated, more well to do, mature people. There must be advertisers who would want to reach this demographic segment even if the station is named Al Jazeera. If I were you I would encourage more input from users about Al Jazerra content and set up a simple way for them to contact you. I would offer advertising time to substantial companies at greatly discounted rates. Your current advertisers are much too heavily weighted towards addressing viewers who have no money or are in debt. I hope you are able to find a second life. Good luck.

I love it, tired of all the biased news, and this one seems to be unbiased to any political parties except for her majesty humanity.

Its March 5 2016 and just about every story I see is from Feb 25 or earlier. Theres even one story from 2014 on the first page. I dont get it.

News is a month old rendering it useless..

Al Jazeera Americas app has been retired for the foreseeable future. No news story is older than February 26th, 2016.
